The Brighton Santa Dash is the most fun you can have in Brighton and it’s back for 2024. We would love to welcome you for more fun-filled frolics dressed as Santa Claus.
Christmas is coming so get in the spirit. Walk, jog or run – it’s up to you. We hope to see you on the start line for some festive fun. Ho Ho Ho
10:30am, 7th Dec 2024, Hove Lawns opposite Adelaide Crescent nr the Peace Statue
It only costs £20 (+£1.60 handling fee) to enter and that includes your race entry, your Santa suit and your bespoke medal.
The Santa Dash is always great fun and amusing to see. It makes a great photo! Parents bring their children down to watch so we hold a kids 400m race before the main event at 10:20am. It’s free, just turn up and we give them all a medal at the end.
If you would like to run virtually rather than join us on the day, you can! Just enter by 6th December and pick up your suit from the Rockinghorse HQ, 13 Prince Albert St, Brighton, BN1 1HE
The Brighton Santa dash race route is a nice flat out and back run. The course heads west up the Seafront Esplanade for 2.5k. Once you get to Hove Lagoon you turn around and head back to the Start / Finish line.
As well as the portable toilets near the start line there are also four other toilet stop opportunities on the course at 200m,1.5k, 3.5k and 4.5km
There are no changing facilities so we recommend arriving at the event in your sports kit. You'll pick up your suit at the start.
We urge everyone to walk, ride or take public transport to the race veune, but if that's not possible...
There are a number of NCP car parks within walking distance of the course. There are multi store car parks on West Street, Russell Square and Churchill Square. There is also hourly parking on the Kings Road (seafront road) itself.
Brighton train station is situated in the middle of town at the top of Queen's road. From the station the seafront and our Santa dash venue is about a 10 minute (15 minutes if you are carrying a sack of presents) down West Street and along towards Hove. Keep your eyes out for a sea of red hats!
REGISTER NOW, entry fee includes your santa suit and finishers medal.
Enter nowRockinghorse Children’s Charity support sick and disabled children across Sussex. The charity supports babies, children and young people, along with their families, at The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital and The Trevor Mann Baby Unit in Brighton and all of the specialist children’s wards and baby units throughout Sussex.
Originally set up in 1967 by Dr Trevor Mann, they are the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital including the Trevor Mann Baby Unit. Since then, Rockinghorse have supported nearly a million children with lifesaving medical equipment, support for parents and families, environments and spaces for children and additional staff.
They do not receive any government, statutory or local authority funding and so rely on the generous support of individuals, community
groups, companies and trusts: people like you, who care about children and want Sussex to be a safe place for children to grow up. To find out more, visit www.rockinghorse.org.uk.
We are also encouraging every Santa to try and raise a minimum of £20 for our chosen charity, Rockinghorse, helping children across Sussex.
